The United States Women's National Team defeated South Africa 1-0 in the team's first tune up for the 2016 Rio Olympics. Crystal Dunn scored the lone goal for the USWNT. Mallory Pugh set up the goal witha run down the left side of the box and sent a cross into the dangerous area where Dunn hammered the ball into the top of the net.
Hope Solo also set a record with the win, she became the first goalkeeper in international history with 100 international shutouts. Congratulations Hope.
The USWNT next face Costa Rico on July 22nd in Kansas City at 9 PM ET. The game will air on ESPN and will be the team's final friendly before the Olympics.
