The US Women's National Team won the Olympic Qualifying CONCACAF Final against regional rival Canada 2-0. Tobin Heath and Lindsey Horan each tallied a goal. Hope Solo claimed another clean sheet and was named Golden Glove winner. Morgan Brian was selected the tournament's top player.
The USWNT had already earned a spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics by earning a spot by earning a spot in the tournament final, however that did not slow down the powerhouse from earning another victory. Congratulations to all the women, you are all making America proud!
The USWNT clinched their spot in the 2016 Rio Olympics with a 5-0 win over Trinidad & Tobago. The Women's Nation Team were lead by a Hat Trick from Orlando Pride forward Alex Morgan. Carli Lloyd continued her recent dominance with another goal and Tobin Heath opened the scoring.
The USWNT dominated Puerto Rico to finish Olympic Qualifying group stage play with a dominating 10-0 performance. The USWNT were led by Crystal Dunn who score 5 goals. The reigning NWSL MVP tied the record for goals in a single game with 5 and joined the likes of Michelle Akers and Abby Wambach in the process.
Congratulations Crystal. Samantha Mewis, Carli Lloyd, Christen Press and Kelley O'Hara also scored in the match and Puerto Rico added one for good measure to make it an even 10-0.
Alex Morgan scored the fastest goal in US Soccer history. The USWNT forward opened the scoring in just 12 seconds. The goal was the first of her two goals on the night. The US Women's Nation Team defeated Costa Rica 5-0 to open Olympic Qualifying.
