Jurgen Klinsmann announced the official 22-player transition roster for the pre-Copa America camp and warm up match against Puerto Rico on May 22nd. The team consists of exclusively European and Mexican based players who have finished their respective club seasons, meaning that there are no MLS players on this roster.
A total of 15-players on this transition roster are eligible for the final 2016 Copa America roster as they were previously named by Klinsmann on the 40-player provisional roster. The final Copa roster is due to officials no later than May 20. The roster includes five players who will make their USMNT debut in a senior level camp: Paul Arriola, Amando Moreno, Fabrice Picault, Caleb Stanko, and Zack Steffen.
