The United States Men's National Team qualified for the next round of the 2018 World Cup Qualifying. The next round in Concacaf qualifying is commonly known as "The Hex". The Hex features the top 6 qualifying teams from group play in a double round-robin tournament. The top three teams from the Hex are guaranteed a place in the 2018 World Cup. The fourth place team plays a two game playoff against the firth place team from the AFC.
The USMNT first match as part of The Hex will be against arch rival Mexico on November 11 at home. The second game will be against Costa Rica on November 15 in Costa Rico.
Jurgen Klinsmann, the US Men's National Team head coach, has submitted the preliminary 40-man roster for the 2016 Copa America. This is the first step towards roster finalization, the final 23-player roster is required to be turned in by May 20 and all players on the final roster must be part of the preliminary roster.
As a warmup for the Copa America, the USMNT has announced their first ever game against Puerto Rico on May 22 in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Kickoff at Juan Ramón Loubriel Stadium. The game will take place at 12PM ET and will air on Fox Sports 1. The USA will then face Ecuador on May 25 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas at 8 PM ET to air on ESPN2 and UniMas and Bolivia on May 28 at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City, Kansas at 8 PM ET and will air on Fox Sports1 and Univision. Training camp starts on May 16 in Miami, Florida.

Jurgen Klinsmann has named the 26-man roster for the upcoming pair of matches in the semifinal round of World Cup Qualifying versus Guatemala. The first match will take place in Guatemala on March 25 at 10 PM ET and will air on beIN Sports and NBC Universo. The second match will take place Columbus, Ohio on March 29 at 7 PM ET and will air on ESPN 2 and UNIMAS.
Of the 26 players, 18 have with World Cup Qualifying experience and 13 of the 26 play in the MLS.
