Former US Men's Soccer member Stuart Holden has announced his retirement. Holden previously spent time with Bolton Wanderers and Houston Dynamo of the MLS. Holden had an injury ravaged career including a broken league in an USMNT match against the Netherlands in 2010 and multiple knee injuries.
Holden made his return to the USMNT during the 2013 Gold Cup, however suffered a torn knee ligament versus Panama. Holden's last professional game came in March of 2014.
Thank you Stuart Holden for your contribution to the US Men's National Team. We here at US Soccer Talk wish you the best in the future.
